Job description

I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client who is a global leader in testing, inspecting and certification. Your role will involve working in a client facing environment on site with differing working cultures.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Deliver independent inspection and quality control services at operating sites and vendors relating to new equipment in manufacture, fabrication and construction.

Equipment ranging from Class 1 nuclear equipment to items manufactured and installed to conventional codes, standards and regulations.

Review of fabrication / manufacturing documentation within delegated authority levels in terms of quality plans, ITP's fabrication / manufacturing procedures, welding procedures, NDE procedures, compilation and review of LTQR's.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Have a good working knowledge of requirements for Inspection within the nuclear industry or transferable experience from another high hazard industry.

Experience and understanding or the ability to learn nuclear and conventional codes and standards relating to material. Welding and NDE standards.

Have experience of managing a range of stakeholders and will be able to demonstrate a successful track record of influencing and negotiating, particularly in technical discussions relating to Inspection.

Good working knowledge and application of ISO 9001.


Qualifications:

Candidates required to have the following qualifications:

CSWIP 3.1/3.2

PCN Level II Magnetic Particle Inspection

PCN Level II Dye Penetrant Testing

PCN Level II Radiographic Interpretation
